Dear Parents,

I would like to wish you all a very happy summer and thank you for getting in contact with me. It meant a lot to have some connection with the children during this period. My few visits to the classroom during this time were very eerie. The sight of all those empty chairs is something I hope I won’t see again during term time.  It was encouraging to see what the children were getting up to at home, be it games, art and crafts, colouring, playing outside and of course the school work!!

I understand that, at times, it was very difficult to keep momentum up with school work with young children. The fine weather probably didn’t help but we won’t complain about that.

I hope you enjoy the summer holidays now that we can all get out a little more. I look forward to seeing some of you back in the classroom in September and wish all those moving over to Ms. Blackwell’s room the very best.
