Hello everyone,
I hope you and the children are managing well at home and have settled into a pace of work that suits you. Thanks to all of you who have sent in work. I am delighted to get it and see that the children are working very well and also enjoying their time at home.
I have attached a document setting out some suggestions for reading, phonics, writing, Irish and Maths. (May 2020)
Taking all that into account, I cannot over emphasise the importance of play for children of this age. They cannot get too much time outside cycling, running, walking, jumping and climbing. Some simple outdoor activities would include bubbles, chalk on path, bug hunt, hula hoop, home-made obstacle course, collecting leaves, stones and flowers, summer I Spy scavenger hunt (attached below).
