Hope you are all very well after the May Bank Holiday weekend and that you took some time to get outside and just enjoy the nice weather on your bike or on a walk.
We have set out some options for learning again for you to do in your own time. The main themes for the coming 2 weeks are: Moon Landing, the Solar System, Time and 3D shapes. We will put documents on the website on this page to support you in looking at these themes. There are also links to 2 short, good quality videos on the topics of the moon landing and the solar system.
We had a great response from lots of you to the request to email back some work to us. Children sent us photos of their games and inventions outside. Some sent photos of their hens and we had pictures of dens and obstacle courses that children built and even some baking!! We had a great poetry recital on video and a rap on a voice recording!!!! It’s amazing to see how busy and creative you have been. We really thank you for that. We have set up an email that goes directly to us so that you don’t have to go through the general school email. The email address again for those of you who haven’t seen the post is: nickernsfarrellblackwell@gmail.com. We have asked that you send work on Wednesday and Friday but that is completely at your own discretion and we are happy to receive it whenever you get a chance. Send what you can. There is no pressure to send every page you have done.
We understand that some days you may not be able to do as much work as other days. Do your best and make time where you can to keep up with your learning. It is important to get out in the fresh air as much as you can, and enjoy the sunshine that is to come hopefully. Help out at home as much as you can and be kind, and a little patience goes a long way! Just as before, Homeschool School Hub is a great resource on RTE at 11am each day and at 10am on TG4 for some Irish learning. You can also get additional materials on the RTE website also (rte.ie/learn).
If you have your Active Home week grid completed from last week, please send a photo of it or keep a copy for when we get back to school.
