Hi all,

This week is Active Schools week and here’s how to get involved!!

We are asked to pass on the charts that we had on the classroom doors to you at home. If you have a printer, that’s fantastic! If not, I would ask you to draw the grid onto a page in a copy or a blank page and hold on to it.

All you have to do is to (1) complete 60 minutes of activity each day and (2) record it on the grid. Why not get the adults and siblings in the house involved!

  1. Complete 60 Minutes of Activity
Lots of ideas on the fundamental movement skills with videos here! https://www.scoilnet.ie/pdst/physlit/beyond/
Ideas cloud so you never “run out” of new things to do: IDEAS Word Cloud

Some parents/guardians/family members might even fancy revising their forward roll. Just check out the videos for Gymnastics and find somewhere safe to get rolling. https://www.scoilnet.ie/pdst/primarygymrolling/

2. Record it on the Grid

Remember, if you don’t have a printer, just copy the grid into a page of a copy or onto a blank page. You could even make a poster version of it by colouring it in to match the one on the screen.

When you have completed the grid, please ask someone to help you email a picture of this to the school email: nickerprimaryschool@gmail.com .

Further information on the Active Flag programme for adults is here:

Best of luck!
